Trading with Purpose: Crypto trading course

Hey, I’m Sam from Trading With Purpose. I’ve spent the past two years as the head portfolio manager at a leading European fund. During my time in this role, I’ve also been educating other traders through our fund’s training program. After seeing great results from our traders, I decided to create Trading With Purpose to share this training with the public.
But first, how did I get here?
I began trading in 2016, after spending many of my earlier years trying different things to discover my true life’s purpose. As a child, I went from being one of the smartest students in my class to getting kicked out of school after not showing up for two months. Later, my family enrolled me in a High School again, however, all of the classes were in Spanish. This presented a very difficult challenge for me, as I didn’t speak Spanish at all. I made it through three years, before dropping out.
Because of this experience I never really felt like I belonged anywhere, and I was afraid of what other people thought of me. I began to hate myself quite profoundly and turned to drugs and alcohol as a way to escape my problems.
Over the next few years, I tried to live a “normal” life, and this eventually led to me becoming a fashion model for designer brands like Calvin Klein and Diesel across Europe and Asia. While that might seem like a huge success for a high school dropout, this career really enabled my self-destructive behavior by providing large sums of money and high-end parties.
At 29, I finally decided I was ready to change my life in a big way, and I’m telling you this so you’ll see that no matter what stage of your life you’re in it’s never too late to find your purpose and reach your full potential.
I spent the next two years learning meditation and how to let go of all my self-limiting beliefs. Like many others, I had always admired traders and thought it was a career for someone who finished high school and graduated from a top university. I had previously thought of every reason why I wouldn’t succeed, and now I was finally ready to believe I could do it.
I applied everything I had learned in changing my mindset to begin my trading journey. I started by slowly reading a trading book for just 60 minutes a day in my first two months. It was then that I found my first trading mentor with a Wall Street background, and I studied everything he would teach me for the next two years. Due to my previous experiences, I really benefited from having developed strong psychology already. Unlike many retail traders, I learned to manage risk properly and never blew my trading account. It took me 18 months to become profitable, finishing the year with 6% gains and confidence in my trading ability.
After that, I realized that discretionary-based trading required me to spend a lot more time on the charts, and also would lead to some months of me losing my “edge” and not performing my best. This is when I found my next mentor who would teach me about system-based trading. I learned to build strategies based on rules, and this helped me to perform more consistently and reduce my losing streaks.
Then in 2019, after refining my strategies on FX and Gold, I was presented with an opportunity to take everything I had learned about trading these other speculative markets and apply it to cryptocurrency. I discovered that my trading systems worked exceptionally well in this emerging market, and I knew this was where I wanted to build my future.
The returns I was able to generate in crypto were exponentially larger than what I was generating in other markets, and I was able to transition into becoming a professional trader hired to manage a crypto portfolio at a large European fund.
At the beginning of 2021, many offices around the world had already been closed for months, and we were all working remotely. I took this opportunity to move to Bali, Indonesia as we weren’t sure when offices would open again. I feel blessed to be able to continue managing this fund from an environment that really fits me.
I realized I had finally found my purpose in life, and now I’m here to share that with others who wish to do the same.
