Description

We started our college counseling company, League Prep, with one goal in mind: to provide accessible counseling. We believe access to this information shouldn’t be limited to those who can afford to spend thousands of dollars for it. So after working with hundreds of students on their applications and reviewing thousands of essays, we’ve bundled our best insights into this low-cost course.
We’ve focused on the areas with which students typically have the most difficulty: the personal statement, supplemental essays, activities & honors, and the additional information section. There’s something for everyone, regardless of your grade or progress. If you need guidance through the application, we’ll go through each part step by step with plenty of examples. Even if you’ve already started your applications, we will help you take it to the next level with our revision techniques, essay outlines, and essay reviews — including essays that got us into colleges like Yale and Dartmouth. We also made this course with sophomore and juniors in mind. If you want to get a head start preparing for college applications, this course will give you an idea of what admissions officers are looking for so that you can start strategizing your extracurriculars and essay topics.

College Counselor
While I was a student at Harvard, I counseled high school students as they applied to college. Combining my own experience with the college application process with the writing and editing skills I gained working at the school newspaper, I achieved considerable success and helped students gain admittance to highly selective universities. After graduating, I decided to team up with my fellow Harvard alum, Kaylee, to start a college consulting company. Now, after working with hundreds of students, we want to share our insights with you through our courses.
