My Background​I am an expert in storytelling through the process of decorating, an internationally trained House-Coach, a professional interior designer, trained by Maria Killam in the SYSTEM for Specifying Colour®, author of The Art of Decorating with Intention (A guidebook in creating an oasis for your soul) and a video course, creator of photo collages that I call Soul Snapshots, and author of various other books.I spoke about Designing Life With A Purpose with Color Blind Magazine.I presented at the Soul Oasis and Vision Board Workshop with Megan Gunnell, and was featured in the Grosse Pointe News.My fascination with storytelling through decorating has been my natural inclination since childhood. It wasn’t until I discovered a tool used in Feng Shui, called the Bagua Map, and my training as a House-Coach that I discovered a way to systemize and teach this to others. It has all evolved into what Jody Pear Designs offers today, once again proving that my mom was right when she said, “Jody’s a late bloomer.”I live in Grosse Pointe Woods where I love to spend time on Lake St. Clair nearly every day in the warm months.
