If you want to make your own sounds as a sound designer, you need to learn how to handle virtual synthesizers. For beginners these synthesizers may be overwhelming. So many knobs and sliders. And at first the sound they generate is harsh and ugly (unless you start up with a good preset). Also most synthesizers are far from intuitive. You need some knowledge to get started.
In this course you will learn how to operate 4 different synthesizers (Serum, Harmor, Synthmaster 2, Massive). These synthesizers share common features, but also have their specific qualities. On the web you can find hundreds of different synthesizers. They vary from free up to costing up to several hundred dollars. But what makes them create something really great is you! You are the artist and the synthesizer is your instrument.
This course starts with Serum, because it is neatly organized, has a lot of visual feedback and contains many aspects of popular synthesizers.
By no means you need to buy all (or even one) of these expensive synthesizers! You can use the demo versions of the first 3 to do some testing. Also there are plenty of free synthesizers available on the internet.
This course is for you to learn the basics of several synthesizers. With this basics you can understand what most of the knobs and sliders mean in the synthesizer you will work with. Then you can become a new big sound designer!
My son took the time to dive deep into sound design and published several tracks already. And he is only 13! You are never too young or too old to start being creative.

3d modeler, sound designer, illustrator
Hi, my name is Daniel. I am a physician but also a true allrounder. I made my first 3d model when I was just 12 and created my first simple 3d game at the age of 13! In the following 20 years I worked with plenty 3d and 2d software and game engines. The past 10 years I worked as a freelancer and made 3d artwork for universities, other game designers and companies using Modo. I am a self learner, using online video course websites like Udemy. I also am a composer and sound designer. See my big course on synthesizers (Serum, Harmor, Synthmaster) and become one yourself! Finally I also do a lot of illustration work. My favourite software for vector artwork is Affinity Designer.
