He worked as Trade & Investment Commissioner of Government of Manitoba ( Canada ) for nine years in India. He has worked on projects with Governments of USA, Brunei, Canada, Senegal, Oman, Ministry of Micro, Small Medium Enterprises (MSME) & Ministry of Textiles – Government of India. These projects are implemented by his for-profit company, Global Network.
He has implemented international market strategies, technology development, cluster development, import-substitution, innovation & competitiveness related projects for World Bank, USAID, USCS, UNIDO, GIZ, DFID, ADB, The commonwealth secretariat, European Union & Microsoft in many countries, besides India. These projects are implemented by his not for profit company, Cluster Pulse.
He is the founder & promoter of global expos like Vibrant Kutch, Vibrant Saurashtra, Vibrant Ceramics, Vibrant Tamil Nadu, Vibrant Goa and Vibrant Kongunadu Coimbatore, Virtual Vibrant Expo.
He runs an international trade & digital training school, Global Network Institute, in Ahmedabad for 21 years and has conducted 157 batches of the international business programs, attended by 4074 businesses from around the world.
Under his mentor on road project, he drives around India and the world and mentors youth for Startups and he has driven 600,000 km in 20 countries in 15 years.
He runs a smart village program which are adopted by Indians living in US. Under this program, his not for profit company converts the 62 NRI ( USA ) adopted villages in 19 states of India into smart villages in 1000 days.
His most challenging assignment has been in Afganistan where he worked with 18,000 carpet weavers, 6000 dry fruit farmers and 2000 women in handicrafts, to train & connect them to global markets. He feels that if positive change can be brought about in Afghanistan, it can be brought in any country/region.
