In this course you will learn how to solve questions involving the use of Pythagoras’ Theorem in 2D and 3D.

You will learn how to square numbers and find square roots and then delve into using Pythagoras’ Theorem on simple questions before extending your understanding and skills by completing more complex contextual questions.

There are multiple exam style questions, each with a full video solution. Key points in each solution are animated to help you better understand the solution.

The first sections of the course start with some basic questions where you will learn how to apply Pythagoras’ Theorem. You will learn to identify the hypotenuse in a right-angled triangle, thus enabling you to use Pythagoras’ Theorem.

The latter questions in the course will take a little more thought. You will need to identify the triangle within the question and correctly mark up each length in the triangle. You will then apply Pythagoras’ Theorem in order to find the required length / distance.

The latter questions contain worded examples. This means that questions are put in context. For example, you may be required to find how far up a vertical wall a ladder will reach if the ladder is placed a certain distance from the wall.
