In this short course, I guide you through several sequential, and well-structured activities for successfully setting up a project: Setting up a project includes properly naming the project and updating key project fields, setting the project start date, learning about the project window environment, and creating calendar exceptions. Finally, you will learn about creating tasks, adding fields or columns, automatic and manual tasks, and the work break down structure.
In summary, this course is for individuals interested in learning about setting up a project schedule properly, project window, project tasks, project columns and the work breakdown schedule (WBS).
This short course contains 2 sections. The following is a breakdown of each lecture:
• Section 1 includes an introduction to Microsoft Project, as well as a project initiating phase and schedules setup.
• Section 2 includes key details about creating tasks and properly setting a work breakdown structure (WBS).
I will develop a series of courses which follow this one. Upcoming courses include the following sections:
Creating task estimates
Creating task dependencies
Constraints
Setting up resources
Assigning resources
Baselining and Adjusting a project
Executing and Optimizing a project
Project Reporting and Printing
Advanced features
Please lookout for my new courses. Due to the extensity of the materials involved in creating a complete course, I have decided to divide the entire course into separate sections. The advantage of signing up for this course at a very low price is that you will enjoy future modules without having to pay extra.
