Don’t feel bad because you’re not alone. Over 60 million people suffer in the U.S. alone.
As a physician, I see tons of people for sleep problems and the health issues directly related to poor sleep. I was once just like you. As an EM physician, being rested and sharp was critical; lives depended on it. Fortunately, I was in the ideal place to figure it out. Surrounded by great medical minds, I compiled the best techniques and blended that together with current science.  That’s why I created this course for you.
With the frenetic pace of today’s world, getting good sleep has never been more important.  You are here because either you or someone you care about has a problem with not sleeping – am I right?
This course is straightforward, the material is easy to understand, and no advanced knowledge or medical degree is needed. I promise.
If you want to sleep better, feel more rested, and wake up with tons of energy this course is for you.
You might be a friend or family member of someone who sleeps poorly and you’re here to learn how to help them.
My goal in this course is to give you an understanding of why sleep is eluding you or a loved one and provide you with an action plan.
The goal of One Week To Better Sleep is to give you the information, tools and techniques to start sleeping better.
There is no Sleep Bank, so learning this is critical for your health.
I’ll be sharing the 7 P’s of getting good sleep.  Each day layers on another strategy to ensure you are getting the sleep your body needs.
Each module corresponds to a day of action or activity. By the end of the week, you will have a firm grasp on the how and why of getting better sleep.
If you’re someone who reaches for the coffee or energy drink just to get through the morning, this course if for you.  Find yourself tossing and turning and watching the clock tick by, don’t waste another night counting sheep.  There is a better way.
I look forward to interacting with you and sharing One Week To Better Sleep.

The greatest degree of inner tranquility comes from the development of love and compassion. The more we care for the happiness of others, the greater is our own sense of well-being. — Tenzin GyatsoHi and thank you for stopping by. I’m Dr. Mitchel Schwindt and am a board-certified physician who focuses on helping my coaching clients and patients achieve an optimized life. The concepts of functional medicine step past the normal boundaries of traditional western medicine and get to the core issues that keep people from achieving their best self. My coaching and courses focus on those concepts and distill the complex into simple digestible bites to help you reach your full potential.By going upstream of health problems, functional medicine targets the root cause and cultivates the restoration of health. My coaching practice encompasses a broad spectrum of health and wellness concepts to get you to the next level. My formal training began in emergency medicine physician, but I’ve practiced in a variety of clinical settings. I completed his residency at Butterworth Hospital in Grand Rapids, Michigan. As part of Michigan State University, Butterworth was renamed Spectrum Health, and is one of the busiest level 1 emergency and trauma centers in the United States. I had the privilege of serving as chief resident my final year. Also, while there I was inducted into Alpha Omega Alpha, a prestigious medical honor society. My favorite aspect of emergency medicine was working as a flight physician (helicopter) for an aeromedical organization. I even wrote a book about my experiences and how it shaped my outlook on life and medicine (see side bar to the right).I have served on many committees and steering groups related to health care, quality and process improvement, but find my passion lies in interacting with people, patients and students and not sitting in a stuffy board room. I like to volunteer as a physician for local sporting and martial arts events. my children and I are passionate about animal rights are volunteer weekly at the local animal shelter and love bonding with the animals. In my free time, I love competing in triathlons, skiing, water sports, time with family, foreign travel and pursuing entrepreneurial activities. I’m also a plant powered chef and you can find my creations on my instagram page.Mitchel Schwindt, M.D., FAAEMBoard certified emergency medicine physicianFellow of the American Academy of Emergency MedicineCornell University – Plant Based Nutrition certificationMember A4M (American academy of anti-aging medicine) – current fellowshipMember Physicians Committee for Responsible MedicinePlant-Based Professional Chef
