Hello and welcome to this course where I will show you how to build a small wooden aviary, that can be used for birds or small mammals. This course can be used by both the complete beginner as well as the more adept DIYer, as I go through every process step-by-step.
I will take you from the very beginning and explain all the details so we can build a beautiful home for our feathered or furry friends together.
I’m based in the UK, and I managed to get all of the materials required for about £30, so this is a relatively inexpensive project to complete.
The only materials you’ll require are some thin timber posts, some screws and nails and some chicken wire. The sizes I’ve included in this course are perfect for housing any birds up to the size of a large canary, however, you can make your own aviary as large as you like to suit whatever needs you have. This aviary or enclosure could also be used to house small mammals such as hamsters, mice or rats, and you could even leave the bottom off and use it as a garden run for guinea pigs or rabbits. The options are endless!
