My name is Karen and I have 2 passions in my life – Animals and Beauty. The two are worlds apart I realise lol  My goal in life is to improve the lives of animals, particularly dogs. One way I can do that is by teaching dog owners how to groom their dogs with love so it becomes an enjoyable experience for all involved. It might also save you a few pounds too :0) I have an Australian Labradoodle called Watson who is quite a character!
I worked for the NHS for 8 years in Medical Research based in a hospital, and loved my job immensely. Whilst there I gained my HND in Health Sciences as part of my Bsc but I sadly had to take redundancy from that role in 2015. I took that opportunity to re-train in my other passions, and as a result I have added the following qualifications and experience to my resume:   
Diploma in Dog Grooming   
Ran my own successful dog grooming business from home   
Certificate in dog behaviour and psychology   
Certificate in Canine first aid   
Work as a professional photographer   

I have also enjoyed creating and nurturing my two You Tube channels (one dogs, one beauty!) so you can always find me there if you want to know more – The Beauty Maverick and Watson the Warrior.
