Watercolor has properties that make it unique and brilliant. As the pigments flow on the saturated paper, they blend, unite, and marry in intriguing ways. In today’s class, we’ll use these almost magic properties to create elegant and colorful sets of tags to be used in journals and mixed media. Class includes demonstrations and instructions for four sets of tags. Each set uses a piece of watercolor paper, the largest 9”x12“, and the remaining papers, 8”x10”. The class was created for beginners, but the techniques will be enjoyable for all artists, as color combinations can alter the overall feel of each tag. Subtle colors tend to be elegant and gentle, while bolder colors create a more intense mood.
