Description

If you’re interested in polymer clay or sculpture in general but aren’t sure where to start, this is the class for you!

Join me as I explain what sculpting tools and equipment I use in my studio. From sculpting tools to pasta machines, it’s all here. I’ll also talk you through which materials to use for armatures, along with some polymer clay and baking tips.

I’ll also assign a project for you to experiment with mark making and basic sculpture. If you haven’t any polymer clay or sculpting tools at the moment, don’t worry as I’m sure you might have items around the home that you can use in the meantime.

You will learn

Get busy with some mark making!

Grab some tools and a ball of clay and make some faces, letters and numbers, or perhaps a weird and wonderful creature! This is really just a fun exercise to get things started so don’t worry about neatness at this stage.

If you haven’t any polymer clay just yet, feel free to use plasticine for this class. I’m really interested to see what tools you use from around your home to create some interesting textures and mark making.

Once you’ve completed your project work, remember to:

  • Feedback on your learning experience and share an image of your work
  • Comment or ask questions on other pictures in the project gallery
