Description

This is a comprehensive course taking you through the entire workflow and process of creating and producing an ‘engaging’, memorable’ and professional ‘learning / remote’ presentation and/or video.

This course is using some of the Adobe suite applications – however, other software / applications can be used to follow and achieve ‘largely similar’ results, as the principle applied are quite universal and standard.

Because of the various elements that one needs to prepare, download or create to put together a ‘total online learning or teaching package’. this is termed as ‘Multimedia’ (or ‘Rich Media’) – and more out of necessity, I will also provide you with some of the common terminology that is used in ‘this industry’ – Terms you may not need to use, but ‘useful’ to know, especially if you are working as part of a team, (as is very common these days)…

Although in this course I show you some of the ‘tips’ and functions of individual software in creating various elements, this particular course is obviously not intended as a specific instructional to each application, but you will also gain some insights and benefits as I ‘construct’  and create each aspect of this course in the various applications I use to create the complete project…

You can of course also contact / email me if you have additional questions or queries about the course or applications and software that might relate…

You will learn

✓ From a supplied Storyboard or create your own to work from.
✓ Identify and create or prepare each elements needed to composite the ‘master video’
✓ Based on your initial brief and the input from the SME – check if the ILOs have been met and how best to deliver the final result
✓ If need be, remake and insert new elements into the ‘master’ – then repeat the last stages
✓ Create and prepare an e-Learning Multimedia Video.

Requirements

• To follow this course in practise, you will need a ‘motion capture’ (video) camera – Ideally a high-resolution camera, but a ‘good’ smart phone maybe sufficient…
• You will need an ‘editing / compositing’ computer – One with enough storage space and ‘power’ to accommodate large ‘raw’ footage and other graphical elements
• You will need (a minimum of) software / applications for editing and compositing video – including sound. Ideally this would be ‘industry standard’ software – such as Adobe Premiere or Final Cut Studio
• Other applications that you ‘should’ ideally have – for sound, graphics and animation – might include ‘Adobe Audition, Adobe After Effects or Apple Motion, Adobe Photoshop/Illustrator or Affinity, Cimema4D (or another 3D app)
• You can do much of this work with ‘less professional’ applications – such as Camtasia, i
• Movie, Movie Maker, Gimp, Krita +

• This course is aimed at those wanting to enter the creative e-learning or multimedia presentation fields. It will also ‘fast-track’ you and help to build a comprehensive portfolio
• This course will also benefit you, if you work remotely ‘solo’ or part of a team
