✓ Did you know that every 33 seconds someone in the United States dies from heart disease? Cardiovascular diseases have become a global epidemic not only causing deaths on a massive scale but also accounting for trillions of dollars of healthcare expenditure.
✓ It is important for a clinician to have sound knowledge of the pathology of various diseases of heart and blood vessels in order to formulate the preventive and treatment strategies. We have created a course on cardiovascular pathology that perfectly serves this purpose.
✓ We have made this course into two parts. While the first part deals with the structure and form of the heart issue and the natural history of diseases affecting the heart, the second part deals with diseases affecting blood vessels. Pathological processes of ischemic heart disease, hypertension, rheumatic heart disease, atherosclerosis, and vasculitis along with their gross and microscopic features are discussed in detail in this course.
