Learn the secrets of academic writing. Gain insights into the academic world and the rules of academic writing. Improve your essays and get better marks with the tips and tricks in this video.

You will learn

On your next essay, put into practice the tips taught in this class. Review your writing and remove non academic words. Review your essay and remove words that are too general and vague. Review your essay and look for statements that need references to back them up.  Review your essay and remove filler words. Then examine the essay sentence by sentence, ensuring it makes sense and that it is written as clearly and directly as possible. Next consider the essay as a whole and make sure the introduction is clear and tells the reader what will be covered. Then ensure the body of the essay reflects what the introduction said and that the argument flows logically. Finally examine the conclusions and make sure it reflects the introduction, summarises the main points of the body, and sums up the argument.
