Description

Do you think becoming a good videographer or a good photographer is enough to be successful in today’s competitive world?
Is understanding the technical workings of camera same as understanding the workings of the business of video or photo?
Is running a business equivalent to taking a great photo or shooting a good quality video?
Clearly, skills needed to run a business are different from technical and creative skills needed to complete a project. They are called ‘Soft skills’. These skills help you become a better professional, a better marketer and a better businessman. Ultimately, video production is a business like other businesses. Why treat it differently?
There are 4 main soft skills that every photographer and videographer should learn. They are:
•Negotiation skills
•Pricing skills
•Interview taking skills
•Social skills
Surprisingly, most photographers and videographers ignore these soft skills. There is a general feeling that these skills are secondary and not as important as knowing the camera settings. That’s why many freelance videographers and photographers struggle with low fees, high competition and overall lack of confidence.
In the current COVID era these skills will set you apart from others!
These skills are also never taught in training institutes. If you are going to be selling in a market place you better be known for something then just be another cameraman or another photographer.
Especially in today’s market, there is a mad rush to become a photographer or a videographer which results in a race to the bottom of the price range. Only way to survive long term is to be smart and differerent than others.
Based on 5 years of my freelance documentary production experience I have created this course especially for freelance videographers and photographers.
This course will help you answer the following questions:
•How much fees to charge your clients?
•How much discount to offer your clients?
•How to develop and maintain good relations with the client?
•How to conduct an interview?
•How to impress potential clients in business events?
The course is in easy-to-understand Hindi with English subtitles.
Videographers and photographers from any genre would benefit from this course.
So, what are you waiting for?

Chief Mentor & Founder at Cmon Yaaron Online Learning, Indie
I did what most kids in my era did-which is to graduate as an engineer, follow it up with an MBA, and then find a well-paying job in IT. But somewhere along this path, I realised that I was rather unremarkable in my corporate career. I craved for creative pursuits and decided to take up photography which later turned into a passion for videography which in turn became a full-time profession- my second career so to speak.
I love cameras, travelling and shooting with them, interacting with the youth and presenting my ideas at various forums.
Today I make documentary films for my clients and run a small video production company which I started in 2016.Very recently, I created a role for myself as an Online educator and a motivator through my platform C’Mon Yaaron.
Here are somethings I would like you to know about my 2nd career:
In February 2017, I got featured in ’15 Inspired Young Indians Who Chose Their Dreams Over Stability’ by Homegrown- A youth media company
In May 2018, I was also featured in Humans of a Sustainable Planet, a project that showcases people making a difference in living sustainably.
In February 2019, I was invited as a speaker at 17th FICCI CSR Summit and Awards to present my views on ‘Storytelling for Change’.
I was invited to conduct a workshop at IIMB’s NSRCEL Social Santhe in May 2019.
Over 15 articles written by me have been featured in leading digital platforms like YourStory, TheBetterIndia, StartupGrind, TechinAsia and others.
Published over 250 articles and interviewed over 40 entrepreneurs and influencers for my blog over 3 years
So, let’s talk if you are thinking of new possibilities.
Cheers
